Terms of Service
Last updated: 30 April 2026
1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using https://locumdoctortax.co.uk (the "Site"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site. The Site is operated by Locum GP Tax Calculator .
2. Nature of the service
The Site provides a free tax modelling calculator for UK locum GPs. All calculations are estimates only, performed client-side in your browser. The Site does not provide regulated financial advice, regulated investment advice, accountancy services, or legal services.
This is a tax modelling tool, not regulated financial or investment advice. Results are illustrative. You should not rely on them as a substitute for advice from a qualified accountant, tax adviser, or regulated financial adviser.
3. Disclaimer of warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Site and all content are provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that:
- calculator results are accurate, complete, or up to date;
- the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses;
- the tax rates and thresholds used reflect the latest HMRC guidance at any given time.
Tax rules change. Always verify figures with HMRC's own tools or a qualified adviser before making financial decisions.
4. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law (including the Consumer Rights Act 2015 for consumers), Locum GP Tax Calculator shall not be liable for any:
- loss or damage arising from reliance on any calculation or estimate produced by the Site;
- indirect, consequential, special, or incidental loss;
- loss of income, profits, contracts, data, or goodwill;
- errors in tax data, HMRC rate changes not yet reflected in the calculator.
Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any liability that cannot be excluded under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or other applicable law.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Site for any unlawful purpose;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to any system or network associated with the Site;
- use automated tools to scrape, index, or bulk-download Site content without our prior written consent;
- introduce viruses, malicious code, or other harmful material;
- reproduce, republish, or resell Site content without our prior written permission.
6. Affiliate and commercial relationships
The Site contains sponsored content and affiliate links. If you click an affiliate link and make a purchase, we may receive a commission from the merchant at no additional cost to you. Such relationships do not affect the objectivity of our calculator or editorial content. Sponsored items are clearly labelled.
We are a participant in the ShareASale affiliate network. Referral fees are our primary commercial revenue source for maintaining the free calculator.
7. Intellectual property
All original content on the Site — including text, design, code, and data compilations — is the intellectual property of Locum GP Tax Calculator and is protected by copyright. You may view and print content for your own personal, non-commercial use only.
8. Third-party links

9. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the law of England and Wales. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer rights you may have under local law.
10. Changes to these Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. For material changes — including changes that affect your rights or the nature of the service — we will provide at least 14 days' notice before the changes take effect, either by posting a notice on the Site or by emailing registered users. Non-material corrections (such as typographical fixes or clarifications that do not change your rights) may take effect immediately upon posting.
If you continue to use the Site after the 14-day notice period for a material change, you are deemed to have accepted the revised Terms. If you do not accept the changes, you should stop using the Site before they take effect.
